Our Legacy of Excellence
Athletics here aren't separate from education – they're part of it. In Poplar Bluff, putting on our uniform means joining something that goes back generations: we've been the Mules for a hundred years, in a program built on hard work, accountability, and genuine community investment.
The record speaks for itself: conference titles, state championships across multiple sports, and alumni who've gone on to compete at the highest levels. Derland Moore anchored the New Orleans Saints' defensive line for more than a decade. Tyler and Ben Hansbrough carried their game from these courts to the NBA – and even shared the floor as Indiana Pacers teammates. Eddie Moss, the first Mule ever drafted into the NFL, ran the ball for the St. Louis Cardinals. And Kameron Misner made the majors before coming home to play in Missouri for the Kansas City Royals. That kind of track record doesn't happen by accident. It's built here, in Southeast Missouri, one athlete at a time.
Our Commitment to the Student-Athlete
Winning matters, but it's not the whole story. Our coaches, teachers, and administrators work together to make sure student-athletes succeed in the classroom and build the kind of character that holds up long after the final whistle. The goal is graduates who are ready for whatever comes next – not just the next season.
